Anyway the good news is that I can now upgrade these older M3 boxes to the new Linux KODI Helix 14.x firmware, which runs much better, and is more stable than ever, and of course it supports many of the newer add-ons that you may find Frodo 12.0 now simply does not. Great and important news is that it will now also allow you to easily switch these boxes to and from using a WiFi connection if you so wish (**NOT AVAILABLE ON THE ATV520 BOXES**), and that alone is a big improvement as switching to WiFi has been previously unavailable with these single core M3 boxes with the old Linux Frodo 12.0 firmware.
You would need to return the box to me here in Thailand, and you only need send the box itself, with no need to send the Power Supply or Remote etc and that also keeps shipping costs to a minimum for us both. You should package it safely in a suitable padded strong jiffy bag or similar (please do not send it back in the original packing box). For customs declaration you should show the package as a "Used Media Player returned for repair" with a notional used item value of say around US$25 to avoid any possible duty and VAT. I will return the box to you with the same customs declaration value but as always any unlikely local customs problems are your responsibility of course.
Provided your box is indeed working okay when you ship it to to me, I will complete the new upgrade, configure it for your personal use and also check the box over and make sure it is returned in optimum working order. You should allow about 3 to 4 weeks because of the shipping in transit time, but I will endeavour to turn these around this end normally within a couple of days.
The cost for this service is £30 in total and preferably paid to me via PayPal, and that does include return registered airmail shipping and packaging costs too. We may be able to fix some hardware faults though sadly, if needed, new spare parts are no longer available for the single core boxes, so please explain the fault to me and I will advise you before you ship it out to me.
* WiFi will not be available with the ATV520 boxes running Linux Helix 14, so wired connection only available for this particular box model.
