IMPORTANT THE IPLAYER FOR BBC ADD-ON NEEDS UPDATING VIA SUPER REPO.

You may have just found out that the iPlayer (for BBC) add-on you currently have on your boxes has just stopped working again.  This is because in our previous known issues article we manually updated it to version 2.6.3 which I have now just discovered from some of our customers has apparently become out of date.  As I pointed out in that previous article about this iPlayer add-on, it would not auto update as it did not have a Repository home where it could auto update from.  Well the great news is that it now has a new home and resides in the massive Super Repo videos repository, which will need installing on your box.  You may have this Super Repo already installed but that is most unlikely and would only be so if you have just since Christmas received a new box from us.

The latest iPlayer add-on version I have has auto updated, thanks to Super Repo, to the latest version 2.6.10 and it works brilliantly (though still as before ITV1 is not working).  So all you need to do is to install the Super Repo repository for the video add-ons and it will than auto update the iPlayer add-on for you to the latest version.  This is quite easy once you know how, but to save me time and reinventing the wheel, I give you below the official installing SuperRepo tutorial from the YouTube link, which shows you step by step how to install the massive Super Repo Videos repository.

Once you have it installed Super Repo Videos repository you will find several of your add-ons will start auto updating and in particular your iPlayer add-on will update from V2.6.3 to V 2.6.10 keeping all your proxy settings intact.  It will then happily be back working properly again.  Also the great news is that in future it will now auto update just as your other add-ons normally do, and thus without any manual intervention needed.

Here is the YouTube link you need :-

NOTE Where it selects Helix in the video tutorial, you should select either Frodo or Gotham depending on which Linux XBMC version you have installed.  You can check this by going to System | System Information on your home screen.  All our MyGica ATV 1200 or Sumvision X2 boxes have Gotham installed whereas all the rest have various versions of Frodo. So you should select whichever option is appropriate for you. None of our boxes as of today's date have KODI 14 "Helix" installed as it is not yet available for our MX Linux boxes and may be some considerable time before it is. Even where it is available it is really still in Beta stage we understand. Frodo and Gotham both work excellently and are very stable and proven, so there is truly no rush for Helix we assure you.

NOTE 2  Since mid February 2015 our ATV1200 boxes are now shipping with Linux KODI Helix 14.0 installed and performing very well with this latest compiled build along side our own latest basic setup with our recommended pre-installed add-ons.
